MTA wins University of Guelph Honey Bee Research Centre Design Competition

MTA is pleased to announce that the University of Guelph (U of G) has selected our design as the winner of the Honey Bee Research Centre (HBRC) Design Competition. The announcement was made by the University at the design unveiling event at Evergreen Brickworks on Wednesday, September 18, 2019. The new facility, for the school’s Ontario Agricultural College, will be a destination, a place of excellence in both design and function while continuing to execute excellence in research. Designed to LEED Gold with a mass timber, low carbon solution, the new state-of-the-art teaching, research, outreach and event centre will be dedicated to sustainability, honey bee health and well-being.
