Po Ma is one of MTA’s most experienced Project Managers for our most valued projects since 1995. With over 30 years in design, project management, and contract administration, Po brings proactive organizational abilities, comprehensive knowledge of building technologies and relentless tenacity. His skills have kept the construction of our most complex, schedule-driven projects on track.
In addition to working as project architect and contract administrator, Po has also been the Project Manager on the following high-profile projects: Toronto Transit Commission Leslie Station on the Sheppard Subway Line; Thunder Bay Charity Casino; TEL Centre at York University; and Durham and Markham Family YMCA.
Po played a critical part in the realization of the Wynford Drive Campus Projects, which include the Aga Khan Museum, the Ismaili Centre and the Aga Khan Park, in Toronto, as well. This spiritual and cultural landmark group of projects was conceived in collaboration with renowned international architects Fumihiko Maki, Charles Correa and the landscape architect Vladimir Djurovic. Completed over the span of one decade, these projects required mastery of technically exacting design standards and exceptional organizational and communication skills in order to coordinate all three international professionals, numerous professional consultants, engineers and the construction team. Po lent his excellent management expertise to the Wynford Drive projects as both Project Architect and Project Manager during design and construction. Since 2017, Po has been worked as the Project Manager in joint venture with Kasian Architecture on the West Memorial Building in Ottawa, a complex rehabilitation project that will house the Supreme Court of Canada.
