Since joining Moriyama Teshima Architects as an Architectural Technologist in 2019, Emmanuel Awuah has brought a highly specialized lens to the firm, focused on detailing and constructability. He brings technical experience having worked on a wide range of building types including industrial, commercial and institutional. Emmanuel is a passionate environmentalist, and his dedication to sustainable design informs every aspect of this work. He has earned his LEED Accredited Professional certification, and is currently working toward WELL Certification. Emmanuel is also a member of Black Architects & Interior Designers Association, supporting diversity and inclusion in our industry.

Emmanuel’s expertise in archive and artifact storage design has played a key part in the success of projects such as the Parks Canada Collections and Curatorial Centre currently under construction in Gatineau, Quebec. During his time with MTA, he has also worked on the NSCAD University project in Halifax, Place des Arts in Sudbury, Limberlost Place in Toronto, and Mukwa Waakaa’igan Indigenous Centre of Cultural Excellence in Sault Ste. Marie.
