Profile

Janice Chan is an accomplished Architectural Technologist whose strength lies in the disciplined delivery of complex, design driven projects. Serving as Contract Administrator and Project Manager, she has played a critical role in guiding several of MTA’s most technically demanding and culturally significant buildings from construction through completion.

Janice brings clarity, precision, and steady leadership to the construction phase. Her comprehensive understanding of building systems, consultant coordination, and site execution allows her to protect design intent while maintaining rigorous standards of quality, schedule, and cost control. Her communication skills and attention to detail have earned the trust of clients, consultants, and contractors alike.

In addition to her project leadership, Janice authored MTA’s comprehensive internal Master Outline Specification. This firm wide technical framework establishes standards for material quality, performance criteria, coordination protocols, and documentation consistency across projects. Her authorship reflects deep technical expertise, rigorous attention to detail, and a strong commitment to elevating the quality and reliability of MTA’s construction documentation practice.

She worked in close collaboration with Maki and Associates on the Aga Khan Museum, contributing to the realization of one of Toronto’s most recognized cultural landmarks. Her portfolio also includes the Ismaili Centre and the Canon Canada Headquarters, projects where she served as Contract Administrator from early construction through final completion, ensuring each was executed to the highest standards.

Earlier in her career, Janice gained international experience with Aedas in Hong Kong and Macau, contributing to large scale healthcare and hospitality developments.
