A registered Architectural Technologist with over a decade of experience, Jay Patel has distinguished himself as scrupulous technician at Moriyama Teshima Architects. His knowledge and passion for building science and detailing make him a valuable addition to any project team. Jay has proven himself an invaluable asset as a Project Captain with the ability to effectively lead teams through various stages of design and construction.

Jay is currently working on all buildings and canopies in the Canadian Point of Entry for the Gordie Howe International Bridge Project, including the Main Building, Operations Centre, Energy Centre, Toll Services Operations Centre, Toll Booths and Canopy, Maintenance Building, and Inspection Booths & Canopy. As part of the senior management team for this project, he is responsible for the design, coordination, and production for these buildings.

Jay served as Job Captain on the Innovation Complex at University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) Campus with PCL, where he was instrumental in managing the production of construction documents in an accelerated design and construction schedule. In recent years, Jay’s projects have included Conrad Grebel University College Servery Addition in Waterloo, the West Memorial Building Rehabilitation project in Ottawa, and the UTM Meeting Place Renovation. Additional projects part of his portfolio include the Surrey Civic Centre, John McCrae Public School, Queenston Plaza Redevelopment, the Ken Seiling Waterloo Regional Museum, and the Toronto Metropolitan University Centre for Urban Innovation.
