The Bata Shoe Museum — designed by Moriyama & Teshima Architects and opened in 1995, celebrates its 20th anniversary this May!
To celebrate this milestone, the Bata Shoe Museum is hosting a birthday event as part of a year-long celebration.

10am-4pm with remarks at 12pm

Official remarks begin at 12pm with the Bata Shoe Museum’s Founding Chairman Sonja Bata and other notable friends of the Museum including Raymond Moriyama, Mayor John Tory and the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, The Honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell. It’s a day to celebrate one of Toronto’s most unique cultural gems and the largest museum in the world dedicated to footwear!
