Aga Khan Light Up The Dark 2024

Looking for something festive to do over the holiday break? Head over to the Aga Khan Museum any time this evening through Sunday night to experience “Light Up the Dark”, an immersive visual display of lights created by OCAD University’s Experimental Animation program.

This exhibition, created in celebration of the Aga Khan Museum’s 10-year anniversary (a project designed by Maki and Associates in association with Moriyama Teshima Architects), involves an illumination of the front façade with an array of presentations ranging from digital compositions to stop-motion sequences. It helps represent the overall architectural motif which guided the design of this landmark building – light:

“I hope that the building and the spaces around it will be seen as the celebration of Light, and the mysteries of Light, that nature and the human soul illustrate to us at every moment in our lives.”
– His Highness the Aga Khan
