We’re looking forward to joining the conversation at From the Ground Up: Sustainable Placemaking in Toronto, taking place next Tuesday, June 24. Moriyama Teshima Architects Partner, Carol Phillips, will be speaking at the event, happening at Limberlost Place, the landmark mass timber building on on George Brown College’s Waterfront Campus. Carol, who led the MTA team as Partner-in-Charge on the Limberlost Place project, will join a distinguished panel to explore how sustainable materials, integrated design, and urban connectivity can shape more livable, low-carbon cities.
Limberlost Place, recipient of two 2024 CTBUH Awards of Excellence (Innovation Award and Structure Award), will serve as the event’s architectural centrepiece. The project exemplifies ecological innovation across its entire life cycle, an achievement made possible through deep collaboration between the architecture, engineering, and construction teams.
This event sets the stage for the CTBUH 2025 International Conference, coming to Toronto this fall (October 6 to 9).
