Ala Zuchniak is a Junior Interior Designer at Moriyama Teshima Architects, where she contributes to academic, institutional, and residential projects. While navigating multiple projects across various phases, her focus remains on enhancing the end-user experience and developing creative design solutions that are environmentally conscious.

She brings a hands-on, fabrication-informed approach to design, shaped by her experience in TMU’s Interior Design Workshop and her involvement in research exploring emergent digital technologies. Through this work, she developed expertise in digital fabrication, woodworking, and ceramics, skills that continue to inform her design approach. Her independent ceramic practice serves as both a creative outlet and a space for ongoing experimentation with material, form, and process.

Ala holds a Bachelor of Interior Design from Toronto Metropolitan University and a Bachelor of Global Business and Digital Arts from the University of Waterloo’s School of Interaction Design and Business. She is currently an intern member of ARIDO and is pursuing her professional designation.
