Jason Moriyama has demonstrated his exceptional design abilities and management skills through roughly 20 major public and institutional projects, including three landmark museum buildings: the National Museum of Saudi Arabia in Riyadh, the Bata Shoe Museum in Toronto and the iconic Canadian War Museum in Ottawa, published worldwide and a recipient of the Governor Generals Medal, Canada’s highest architectural honour.
Jason’s thoughtful, disciplined and forthright leadership style and attention to detail have also been key to the success of 25 major buildings for Canadian and international universities including: the Science Research Building at University of Toronto Scarborough; the School of Continuing Studies and Multi-Faith Centre at the University of Toronto St. George Campus; Richcraft Hall (previously: River Building) for Carleton University, the Desmarais Building for the University of Ottawa and Mulroney Hall at St. Francis Xavier (StFX) University in Antigonish, NS. All are characterized by warm, welcoming, and engaging interior environments, future-proof flexible planning, and advanced sustainable design technologies. Jason recently completed York University Master Plan Visions for the Scott Library and York Central Square. Jason has led large urban planning projects including the Comprehensive Masterplans for Makkah and Madinah and the Education City Master Plan Integrator Project home to branches of eight American, British and French universities in Doha, Qatar.
