Louis Lortie has been working with Moriyama Teshima Architects since 2002 and has over 30 years of professional experience. For Louis, the more complex the project, the happier he seems to be. In fact, his career has focused primarily on the construction of large and complex projects where he was involved in the preparation and coordination of construction documents followed by the responsibilities of the site administration and review of construction.
Louis distinguished himself on the landmark Canadian War Museum project in Ottawa, published worldwide and a recipient of the Governor Generals Medal, Canadas highest architectural award. Louis was a key contributor coordinating a complex, multi-disciplinary team and ensuring that contract administration progressed efficiently and fully on schedule.
His experience with the construction administration process has provided him a thorough understanding of build-ability issues and a keen eye for detail which he brings back into the other phases of the design and construction documents – making seemingly challenging details feasible.
