“Buildings account for 39% of global GHG emissions. Eliminating these emissions is key to fighting climate change and to meet the challenge to be carbon neutral in 2030 (using no fossil fuel / GHG emitting energy to operate). Limberlost Place is on target to meet this challenge through the use of a high-performance prefab envelope, daylight harvesting, natural ventilation, and using no fossil fuels to operate.”
– Phil Silverstein, Facades+ Featured Speaker and Workshop Leader
MTA Principal, Phil Silverstein (pictured), will be running a 3-hour workshop on prefab envelope design and construction for tall mass timber structures alongside three other speakers. This session will focus on Limberlost Place, MTA and Acton Ostry Architects’ project at the waterfront campus of George Brown College.
