MTA Partner Ronen Bauer was honoured to take part in the Toronto Bonsai Society’s 60th Anniversary Opening Ceremony at the Toronto Botanical Garden last Friday.
The Toronto Bonsai Society was founded in 1964 and is a not-for-profit, originally under the umbrella of the Toronto Japanese Garden Club. The original mandate of both clubs was to help open a dialogue to the greater Toronto community and help combat the anti-Japanese xenophobia that was prevalent post WWII.
While Ronen and MTA Associate Katie Weber were on site, they visited the Garden Pavilion designed by firm founder Raymond Moriyama in 1965. Congratulations goes to all involved in this milestone celebration.
