Ismaili Centre 2014
The Ismaili Centre uniquely responds to established Islamic building traditions, while incorporating contemporary architectural form, materiality, and construction methods. Designed by Moriyama Teshima Architects in association with Charles Correa Associates, the architectural language distinguishes a community that is informed by its past yet modern in its outlook.
Aga Khan Museum 2014
Aga Khan Museum
The Aga Khan Museum is the first museum in North America devoted to Islamic art and culture. The museum is one of two buildings developed in a seventeen-acre site together with the Ismaili Centre Toronto and Aga Khan Park. The buildings are perched upon a small hillock that is visually prominent at the intersection of the Don Valley Parkway and Eglinton Avenue – two significant, heavily travelled arteries north of downtown Toronto.

Etihad Museum 2011
The Etihad Museum honours the 1971 signing of the document that created the United Arab Emirates and celebrates the rich culture and history of its people. The dramatic entrance pavilion rests lightly upon a reflecting pool and plaza, its undulating parabolic curves representing the parchment upon which the unification agreement was written and its tapering golden columns representing the pens with which the document was signed.
