Two completed MTA projects are finalists in this year’s LOOP Design Awards!
- The Hazel McCallion Campus Student Centre (“Phase 2A”) at Sheridan College (a collaboration with Montgomery Sisam Architects), in the Architecture: Public Buildings & Institutional category, and;
- The Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation (OSSTF) Headquarters and Multi-Tenant Commercial Building in the Architecture: Offices category.
The HMC Student Centre at Sheridan College is an integral addition to the campus expansion in Mississauga, with a range of amenity spaces and athletics facilities designed to give diversity and depth to the student experience. The new building provides not only a community gathering space, but also creates a sense of place in the heart of the college within the growing area of the city centre.
OSSTF–MTA’s first completed mass timber building–is a highly sustainable, financially viable, and innovative new workplace that seamlessly integrates commercial opportunities with the relocation and revitalization of the OSSTF’s offices in Toronto. Designed to the highest environmental standards, the facility is built on a foundation of social, environmental, and financial sustainability.
You can vote in support of these projects for People’s Choice Award every day until Monday, September 30th! We appreciate your support.
