Sustainable Laboratory Tour through Centre for Urban Innovation at TMU

MTA Partner Ronen Bauer and MTA Principal Phil Silverstein led an architectural tour of the Centre for Urban Innovation (CUI) at Toronto Metropolitan University last week, as part of the Retro-Fitting and Forward-Thinking for Laboratories case study!

Initiated by Sustainable Labs Canada, this event was co-presented by Moriyama & Teshima Architects, Crossey Engineering, and Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), exploring the unique challenges and constraints associated with the addition of laboratories to existing buildings within an urban setting. During this in-person guided tour, Ronen and Phil provided detailed accounts of the challenges, constraints, and triumphs dealt with throughout the design process of this intricate project.

Take a look at some of the highlights of the tour below. Thank you to everyone who attended and to those who helped bring this event to fruition!
