Brian and Emmanuelle’s Contributions to the 2023 OAA Conference
We are so proud of MTA Partners Emmanuelle van Rutten and Brian Rudy for their meaningful contributions to and participation in this year’s Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) Conference in Sudbury!
Brian led a guided tour of Place des Arts, the recently opened arts centre by Moriyama Teshima Architects and Bélanger Salach Architecture, and delivered a presentation on the building design. He also presented alongside Ashley Larose, MSc, CEO of Science North & Dynamic Earth, on the design of two expansions of the cherished Museum in Sudbury – one to be located in Thunder Bay, and the other in Kenora.
Emmanuelle spoke alongside her colleagues of Building Equity in Architecture North, running a session on advocacy, policy, and equality in the profession of architecture. We commend their commitment to furthering the education of young architects, as well as their leadership in making our industry a more inclusive and positive space.
