Brian Mulroney Institute of Government Achieves LEED Gold

We are thrilled to announce that the Brian Mulroney Institute of Government, our award-winning building at St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, has achieved LEED Gold Certification!

We would like to commend the team members who contributed toward this great achievement, starting with Ellisdon Atlantic  the Design Build leader, Barrie & Langille Architects , Solterre (Sustainability), Dillon Consulting (previously ONSA, Mechanical & Electrical), BMR Engineering (Structural), and Strum & Associates (Civil). The passionate efforts and ongoing coordination of this group, along with the documentation and detail put into the virtual BIM model, resulted in the successful achievement of the building’s projected energy efficiency targets.

The Brian Mulroney Institute of Government provides a welcoming and beautiful space where students can learn for generations to come. This dynamic nexus of academic and social life, completed in September of 2019, stands as a facility that heightens the University’s standard of sustainably built projects.
