The joint team of Moriyama Teshima Architects (MTA) and Bélanger Salach Architecture (BSA) is thrilled to share that Place des Arts has been award Gold Level certification in the Public Building / Cultural Building category and is a Platinum winner in the Special Award / Architecture + Collaboration category in this year’s Grands Prix du Design competition!

MTA Partner, Brian Rudy, traveled to Quebec City to accept the prize on behalf of the two firms at the Awards Gala. This event, held at the beautiful Théâtre Capitole, was an exciting celebration of architectural excellence and a night to honour the visionaries who have made outstanding contributions to the world of design. We are truly humbled by this achievement, and what it signifies for the community of Sudbury, Ontario (where the building is located).
