MTA Partner Carol Phillips will be joining the Alberta Association of Architects for their October Professional Development Series via an online webinar!
Carol’s presentation on October 4th at 2:00 PM EST, entitled “The Growth of Mass Timber”, will involve a case study-based overview of two of the country’s largest and internationally recognized mass timber projects. Both currently under construction in Toronto, Limberlost Place (a JV between Moriyama Teshima Architects and Acton Ostry Architects) and the new Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation Headquarters Building, achieve the highest sustainability standards and utilize mass timber structure as a key component in lowering embodied carbon.
