“The Aga Khan Museum is one of Toronto’s architectural masterpieces”.
– Indie88 (CIND-FM)
Thank you to Toronto radio station Indie88 for spreading the love on one of our favourite MTA cultural projects of the last decade (completed in 2014). The Aga Khan Museum is the first museum constructed in North America devoted to Islamic art and culture – one of two buildings developed on a 16.8-acre site together with The Ismaili Centre, Toronto. Moriyama & Teshima Architects collaborated with Maki & Associates to realize the Aga Khan Museum, which stands as a symbol of knowledge and ideas through a play of geometry and light.
