Thank you to Construct Canada for sharing this thoughtful piece on the presentation by Carol Phillips of Moriyama Teshima Architects, Nerys Rau of George Brown College, and Simon Gallagher of Nordic Structures on the Limberlost Place project at the Mass Timber Seminar (organized by the Brookfield Sustainability Institute and Rothoblaas) held in September. During this talk, the three leaders talked about different aspects of the ideation, competition, design, fabrication, and construction of Limberlost Place.
Designed in collaboration with Acton Ostry Architects, Limberlost Place is currently under construction at the George Brown College Waterfront Campus in Toronto, Ontario. The team recently celebrated a major milestone of the project topping-off back in August, and we are looking forward to the remaining construction milestones of this 10-storey, mass timber, highly innovative, institutional facility!
