Limberlost Place has been under construction at George Brown College’s waterfront campus for just over a year, consistently progressing at an impressive rate! A highly sophisticated mass timber, prefabricated assembly has allowed for quick construction and sets a precedent for sustainable developments in the future. This building, a joint venture with Acton Ostry Architects Inc., has continually exceeded expectations in terms of efficiency, innovation, and structural design. Recently, the northeast mega column was installed – the largest glulam column in North America!
Thank you to photographer Salina Kassam for creating this photo montage of her images of the Limberlost Place construction site in Toronto’s East Bayfront neighbourhood. This is a great way to see how far the building has come throughout 2022. We are so excited to watch it grow in the coming months.
