We are happy to celebrate another major Limberlost Place milestone – the highest point in construction has been reached and was commemorated last week with a special topping off ceremony at George Brown College! This highly innovative, mass timber, net-zero carbon emissions project is a joint venture with Acton Ostry Architects Inc.
Design team members from MTA and AOA, including Carol Phillips, Russell Acton, Phil Silverstein, Adrienne Tam, Milos Begovic, Chris Ertsenian, Sean Koudela, Jay Zhao, Will Klassen, Mahsa Majidian, Maria Pavlou, and Emmanuel Awuah, were present for this exciting event. The design team shared this moment with many others who made key contributions to Limberlost Place’s ideation, inception, and creation, including PCL Construction .
“We celebrate this Limberlost Place milestone and the people who have been on this journey, including the students, researchers, faculty, donors, the trades and architects, and the City. It represents relentless collaboration, collective creativity, and tenacious commitment by the entire team.”
– Carol Phillips, Moriyama Teshima Architects
Thank you to everyone who made this memorable occasion come together so smoothly. We are already looking forward to the next steps in completing this landmark project!
