Last week, MTA team members attended the International Mass Timber Conference held in Portland, Oregon (USA)! A gathering of professionals from across the forest, design, construction, manufacturing, and development industries, this 3-day conference focused on mass timber engineering; the raw materials needed, supply chain, best practices, and applications.
Emmanuelle van Rutten, Ronen Bauer, Chris Ertsenian, and Will Klassen had an excellent time on the west coast, learning from the numerous exhibitors and lecturers. A special moment pictured was the team’s excursion to the Portland Japanese Garden and Visitor Centre designed by Kengo Kuma.
