MTA Partner, Carol Phillips, and Principal, Phil Silverstein, will be speaking at the third session of Timber Talks Series, organized by the College of Carpenters and Allied Trades and UBC Built (Local 27, Toronto’s Carpenters’ Union) and sponsored by the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry.
This seminar, taking place on March 20that 9:30AM at the Paramount Eventspace in Woodbridge, Ontario, is entitled Building Ontario’s Global Leadership: Harnessing the Potential of Ontario’s Forest Products. Two groups will be presenting in the morning before a tour of the Training Facilities at the College of Carpenters and Allied Trades in the afternoon.
Carol, Partner-in-Charge, and Phil, Job Captain of Limberlost Place (MTA and Acton Ostry Architect’s 10-storey, mass timber, institutional building currently under construction at George Brown College’s Waterfront Campus), is part of Panel 1, which also includes Paul Stevens of ZAS Architects, Mark Gaglione of Ellis Don, and Zenon Radewych of WZMH. Following this discussion, Panel 2 includes Michele Shi of Hasslacher Timber, Carter Mulder of Rothoblaas, and Franco Piva of ErgoDomus.
