A key design feature of the West Memorial Building Rehabilitation project in Ottawa is the infill of two existing exterior light wells. Covering these courtyards will be expansive pyramidal skylights, providing natural light deep within the building.

Seen here are progress shots of the skylight’s steel support frame, in fabrication at the yard of Benson Steel in Bolton, Ontario. The steel will be primed, disassembled, and shipped to Ottawa for erection in the coming months. Stay tuned for more exciting updates of the installation process!
