Moriyama Teshima Architects’ Carol Phillips, Partner-in-Charge of Limberlost Place, toured a group of our staff through the mass timber marvel currently under construction at George Brown College’s waterfront campus in Toronto.

Limberlost Place, a joint venture between MTA and Acton Ostry Architects, has climbed steadily higher in the skyline – now reaching its peak at ten storeys! The building form and façade are shaped to maximize access to natural light and fresh air, while the large span, beamless structure will enable demising walls to expand and contract, providing flexibility of sizes for a variety of learning spaces. Limberlost Place speaks to future advancements of tall wood technologies, as well as the development of net-positive and low carbon building methodologies.
