Cameron Penney is an Intern Architect with a passion for timeless design solutions and ecological sustainability. Since joining the firm, he has gained experience with a diverse portfolio of work including master plans, institutional projects, and cultural developments, creating impactful and sustainable spaces. Contributing to work in a variety of stages including proposals to construction, Cameron regularly applies his process driven approach to his ventures on mass timber and carbon conscious projects while maintaining a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
Cameron completed his Master of Architecture from Carleton University after pivoting from a Biology background with a concentration in Urban Ecology. During his graduate studies, Cameron fulfilled roles as a Research Assistant, Teaching Assistant for the B.Arch and Studio First programs, and ran Carleton Architecture’s annual publication, Building 22. During his final year of study, he co-founded Landscape lab to promote sustainable design and interdisciplinary education. His graduate thesis, published in Canadian Architect magazine (Dec. 2023), and has been awarded the 2023 Canadian Architect Student Award of Excellence, Maxwell Taylor Award for Building Technology, and the Marco Frascari Prize for Drawing.
