Phil Silverstein, Principal at Moriyama Teshima Architects, spoke to an international audience at the recent WoodWorks Summit at George Brown College to discuss how Limberlost Place (our mass timber project with Acton Ostry Architects, which is currently under construction at GBC’s Waterfront Campus) paved the way for mass timber construction in Toronto and beyond. Through public outreach, building tours, and open-source research, he demonstrated how Limberlost Place contributes to sustainable solutions for large-scale academic projects and promotes industry knowledge sharing, innovation, and community building.
