Included at the top of this year’s prominent business stories of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, is the construction of the Nova Scotia Community College expansion along the mouth of the Sydney River.

The Sydney Waterfront Campus, designed by Moriyama & Teshima Architects and Barrie and Langille Architects, is a multi-building, 300,000 sq. ft. development poised to revitalize and invigorate the surrounding urban core, while accelerating the college’s strategy to expand the physical capacity of their institution. The vision for the project is to create a campus with a dynamic learning environment – a living-lab pedagogy that will attract students from across the country.
