We love this impressive bird’s eye view of the West Memorial Building in Ottawa’s downtown core.

From this vantage point, we can see the copper roof installation underway, as well as both existing courtyard spaces. The west lightwell (left side of photo) will be infilled with the Supreme Court of Canada. The east lightwell (right side of photo) will be the heart of the revitalization, a new grand hall serving as the building’s primary arrival point. These two feature spaces within the building will eventually be enclosed by expansive glass skylights.

This project, “Regenerate 344” is a joint venture between Moriyama & Teshima Architects and Kasian Architecture.
