World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development

Tomorrow is World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development!

A special project in the way of impact on the engineering community is the George Vari Engineering Building and Computing Centre at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), completed in 2004. This downtown campus building is one of the largest engineering facilities in Canada; a state-of-the-art space dedicated to science and technology education.

The Engineering Building serves over 2,500 undergraduate and graduate students in Civil, Aerospace, Computer, and Electrical Engineering, the Department of Math, Physics, and Computer Science, as well as the students of the Architectural Science program. It is very meaningful to us to have contributed toward creating a facility that fosters, supports, and advances the study of architecture and engineering, influencing the AEC industry for generations to come.
