Carol to Present at 2024 SCUP North Central Regional Conference
MTA Partner Carol Phillips will be presenting at the upcoming Society for College and University Planning (SCUP) North Central 2024 Regional Conference taking place between Tuesday, October 22nd – Wednesday, October 23rd in Minneapolis, Minnesota!
The presentation, entitled “Mass Timber: The Future of Carbon Neutral Campuses”, is focused on the ways in which higher education institutions must lead by example to promote widespread adoption of carbon sequestering mass timber while also delivering an enriched student experience. The session will use Limberlost Place at George Brown College (our joint project with Acton Ostry Architects) as a leading example to discuss the state of mass timber, its significant benefits, challenges, mitigations, and integrated delivery. Carol will be speaking alongside Nerys Rau of George Brown College, Mike Love of PCL Construction, and Ted Watson of MJMA.
