Canadian Port of Entry Construction Flyover Video
This most recent overhead footage captured of the construction site of the Canadian Port of Entry (POE) facilities at the Gordie Howe International Border Crossing in Windsor, Ontario, shows that progress is approximately 60% complete.
Among the ten buildings under construction, most noticeably:
– The Energy Centre and Maintenance Building is the most advanced, with its exterior precast panels (including an art wall) now complete
– The Main Building, the largest of the 10 forming the POE, has now completed its structural framing and the exterior precast panels are close to being fully installed
– With its swooping curves, the Primary Inspection Lane (PIL) canopy is taking shape – the main component, being the PIL Pavilion, is currently being erected
– The Secondary and Tertiary Inspections Building is also very advanced, with its exterior precast panels, curtainwall, and interior partitions complete
Moriyama & Teshima Architects is the Architect of Record for the Canadian Port of Entry facilities. Once constructed, this will be the largest Canadian port along the Canada-US border, and one of the largest anywhere in North America!
