Norman Jennings Inducted into the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame

Congratulations to MTA Senior Associate, Norman Jennings, who was inducted into the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame (CMHF) this month for his achievements in karting. Held at the Canadian International AutoShow (CIAS) in Toronto’s John Bassett Theatre, Norman was recognized at a gala event amongst his peers and racing cohorts.

During a 9-year period, racing nearly every weekend and completing 165 races, Norman stood on the victory podium over 50% of the time (and in the top 5 over 70% of the time!). After hanging up his helmet in 1995 following 18 seasons, he became the first National Sporting Authority (ASN Canada) Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) National Karting Steward and remains involved today with GDS ASN Canada (asncanada.ca) as the National Steward. He has competed in, organized, and officiated at Regional, National, and International events, including the World Karting Championships. Today, he serves as the editor of the Canadian Karting Regulations and leads the Canadian Karting Task Force.

We celebrated Norman this past Friday with a motorsports themed social. Please extend congratulations to Norman on this truly special occasion!
