Carolina Mellado is an Intern Architect with nearly a decade of experience in Design-Build, P3, feasibility studies, and Fast-Track projects, with an emphasis on institutional, cultural, and commercial work. She has specialized experience in complex interior renovations, often with heritage elements, as well as technology integration of 3D scans to BIM models.

Since joining Moriyama Teshima Architects, Carolina has contributed to a range of projects including the competition phase of the internationally-recognized Mukwa Wakaa’igan Indigenous Centre of Cultural Excellence at Algoma University, and the construction document phase of De La Salle College’s Student Health and Wellness Centre. Carolina proved to be an invaluable team asset when re-visiting one of MTA’s past projects for Victoria University in the University of Toronto, renovating and revitalizing their working environment.

Outside of work, Carolina has served as a guest critic for the Daniel’s School of Architecture at the University of Toronto, where she completed her Master of Architecture.
