Moriyama Teshima Architects (MTA) and Bélanger Salach Architecture (BSA) are pleased to share that our joint venture project, Place des Arts, has been selected as a finalist in this year’s Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) Design Excellence Awards!
Place des Arts (PdA) is the first multidisciplinary art centre of its kind in Northern Ontario – a cultural facility consisting of seven member organizations which stands as an influential site of excellence for the City of Greater Sudbury, focused on French-Canadian culture and community empowerment. A collaborative endeavour on all fronts, MTA and BSA were together able to establish consensus amongst the seven strong voices to achieve a flexible design that provides services for a wide variety of activities and uses, while contributing to the surrounding urban context.
Congratulations to all finalists – the calibre of architectural design included in this list is truly astounding! Learn more about each of the projects by clicking here.
