Pictured here are David Stone and Carolyn Gillespie, Associates at Moriyama Teshima Architects, on site at the West Memorial Building in downtown Ottawa – a project currently being completed in joint venture with Kasian Architecture, Interior Design, and Planning.
This historically significant heritage building is in the process of being rehabilitated to contemporary standards to meet new federal workplace requirements. As part of the Judicial Precinct Master Plan (JPMP), the West Memorial Building will temporarily house the Federal Courts and Supreme Court of Canada. The base building approach for the project addresses both the short-term use of the courts as well as the long-term use as a government workplace.
