We are thrilled to announce that Limberlost Place, our joint project with Acton Ostry Architects, is the recipient of the Excellence in Design Innovation Award presented by Waterfront Toronto!
The 2022 Design Review Panel Awards program, in its inaugural debut, recognize visionary projects that enhance the city’s waterfront. Currently under construction at George Brown College, Limberlost Place was praised for addressing environmental, social, and other contemporary issues through design and research. Located at 189 Queens Quay East, this ten storey, mass timber, institutional facility is leading the way in structural innovation through material choice, sourcing, and assembly.
Pictured here is MTA’s Carol Phillips (Partner in Charge), Chris Ertsenian (Job Captain), and Jay Zhao (Project Architect), accepting the award on behalf of the entire project team. Our firm shares this achievement with Acton Ostry Architects, George Brown College, PCL Construction, Fast + Epp, as well as the many other significant consultants involved in this landmark building.
We extend our congratulations to all award nominees and winners, and are very proud to be contributing toward a more beautiful, enjoyable, and sustainable Toronto waterfront.
