Paul Aquilina brings over 15 years of experience as contract administrator and job captain for various building types. Paul assisted with contract administration to realize the construction of the award-winning Surrey Civic Centre, a new City Hall with council chamber, office spaces and civic plaza. Paul fulfilled the role of job captain for the Windsor City Hall working from program design inception to issuance of tender drawings and assisting on contract administration. The City Hall has engaging public spaces including a council chamber, service counters, city office spaces and meeting rooms. For the Conestoga College, North Campus Expansion, Paul was fully engaged from program design inception to final contract administration to reconceptualize the existing facilities into a welcoming student hub and spaces for advanced information studies including a centre for food innovation and hospitality management. Paul assisted with the design development of the support buildings for the Gordie Howe International Bridge, an inspiring new gateway to Canada involving extensive aesthetic design requirements and review. Paul is currently performing contract administration work on Ottawa’s West Memorial Rehabilitation, a major renovation to a heritage building for the temporary home for the Supreme Court of Canada.
With Paul’s diversity of skills he is able to provide a continuous thread throughout a project from design development to site construction. His strengths are in design coordination and project management. His technical knowledge, attention to detail, collaborative management style, and his ability to resolve conflicts and build consensus makes him a valuable asset during project development and on the construction site.
