Projects — Master Plans — Conestoga College Doon Campus Master Plan

Project Description[+]

Overview

The 25-year Master Plan for Conestoga College provides Conestoga College with a high-level roadmap for how its facilities can be renewed and reorganized over time. This ensures that the institution’s long-term goals are met so the College can focus on the delivery of quality education, maintain high levels of student success, and enhance its profile as a deliverer of quality polytechnic education in an efficient and financially responsible manner.

The Master Plan was built around a robust consultation process that included complex stakeholder groups. The goal of the consultation process was to gather broad input and to develop consensus around the recommended concepts. The planning effort focused on better use of campus space, enhancing academic space and addressing necessary elements from the College’s strategic plan. An existing Woodlot on campus became a protected feature on campus—an important organizing element for both campus growth and social interaction.
