MTA Leads University of Toronto Students Through Limberlost Place

Our team had an excellent time leading University of Toronto students on a tour of Limberlost Place, the ten-storey mass timber institutional facility currently under construction at George Brown College’s waterfront campus. This guided tour showed the undergraduate students of the University of Toronto – John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design through the cascading atrium that will become the facility’s Learning Landscape. It was a great opportunity to expose their class to the engineering innovations and sustainability metrics achievable through mass timber construction.

MTA’s Carol Phillips (Partner-in-Charge), Phil Silverstein (Project Manager), and Jay Zhao (Project Architect) shared their knowledge and deep understanding of the architectural design throughout this informative visit of the building site (managed by PCL Construction). This tour is part of a series that will be taking place over the course of the coming weeks.
