Congrats to New Senior Associates, George, Mohammed, and Cathy!

Please join us in celebrating MTA’s newest Senior Associates: George Z. MengMohammed al Riffai, and Cathy McMahon! These three leaders are known for their excellent design work, and generous, collaborative attitudes.

George is a long-standing, valued team member at Moriyama Teshima Architects with an impressive portfolio spanning over 20 years. In recent years, his efforts in leading the firm’s largest scale (and one of most complicated) building project of all time, the Canadian Port of Entry at the Gordie Howe International Border Crossing in Windsor, have been tremendously impressive.

Mohammed is a multi-talented, versatile asset to the entire team at MTA. His visionary design work on projects such as the Etihad Museum, the Brian Mulroney Institute of Governance, St. Francis Xavier University, and the Canada Pavilion at Expo 2020 in Dubai, have made him stand out with sustainable building knowledge and architectural originality.

Cathy has shown great dedication to her work in designing and executing a broad range of student, wellness, cultural, and recreation facilities for award winning post-secondary and public institutions, including Place des Arts and the new OSSTF Headquarters Building. Cathy is not only regarded as a formidable leader within the office but is also known for her technical and sustainable building expertise.

Congratulations to each of you! ✨
