Projects — Civic & Commercial — Ottawa Police Services South Facility Phase A
The South Facility Phase A project is a new police facility meant to centralize operations and replace several older facilities that will be decommissioned. The 15-acre greenfield site is located in the south of Ottawa, on a picturesque sloping site adjacent to the historic Rideau River. The client mandate for the facility was to accommodate a variety of Front Line, Specialized Units, a Communications Centre, administrative offices and special function vehicles in a highly flexible building with 24/7 operations with extensive building services redundancy provisions. Phase A of the project accommodates 477 staff and includes shell space for an additional 300 that will be outfitted in future phases.
